The surgery approached us to design a two-storey extension that would provide a state-of-the-art surgery unit for the existing practice along with additional consulting rooms to the ground floor.
The design incorporates a link between the proposed and existing building, along with adding office space and a lift to the first floor. The design relocates the existing entrance from the side of the building to a prominent position to the front with a covered area and sees the front elevation uplifted with a modern wood cladding whilst incorporating large pharmacy display signs.
The existing practice will be completely refurbished and modernised as part of the design with the main core of the building opened up to provide a large central reception counter incorporating both the doctors and pharmacy whilst improving patient access through the building.
