Rothwell. The scheme is to provide two new sustainable houses on a sloping site without having a detrimental impact on the village environment.
The houses have been designed using a combination of brick, stone and wood to create contemporary modern homes that nestle into the landscape minimising their impact on the site. The design incorporates sustainable elements such as rain water recycling, large glazed south elevations to maximise solar gain and high thermal mass to minimise the carbon footprint and reduce the running costs.
